There is nothing like the holidays with a toddler, especially when it comes to the unexpected. With Anaka, both Aramenda and I thought that the hours spent gift wrapping would be well worth Anaka's excitement to tear through them. That wasn't exactly the case, but I think Anaka has had a tremendous Christmas. Even though she was daintily peeling back the paper and kept distracting to the previous gift, she loved the mess. Aramenda and I were both amazed at the things Anaka fell in love with, and last but not least of all was the training toilet. Anaka is happy as a clam, and Aramenda and I are exhausted. Anaka & Santa
Matthew and I decided that we need to take Anaka to visit Santa in hopes to get the perfect photo for our holiday cards. Well we got a great photo that is for sure. After discovering that a brief moment with Santa would cost us around $40 and that we would have to wait 1.5 hours, we opted to leave the mall and seek out an alternative Santa. We ended our search at the Bass Pro Shop for our free photo with Santa and 30 min. line. What we got in return made us proud to have left the line of the mall Santa.Anaka was not happy to have met the jolly old guy and she made sure that the entire store knew it. After viewing the image, we laughed and were very thankful that we did not spend the night in line waiting at the mall. Although the task of taking the perfect photo for our holiday cards never came to be, we did end up with a great photo addition to the baby book!!
